The People Who Build Places: How Resimax Group Bring Masterplanned Communities to Life
As an integrated property developer, Resimax Group brings together expertise across the full lifecycle of community creation. From land acquisition and project delivery to landscape maintenance, collaboration across its in-house teams helps shape connected, liveable neighbourhoods.
Resimax Group team members Gareth Jones, Nathan Huynh and Dan Davis each play a part in that process, contributing their experience to the communities thousands of residents call home.
Gareth Jones, State Development Manager
With over 15 years of experience in residential development management, State Development Manager Gareth Jones leads the strategic evaluation of future land opportunities for Resimax Group. Applying a disciplined approach to acquisitions, his expertise ensures each project aligns with the company’s long-term vision for sustainable, deliverable communities.
“We aim for a balanced pipeline: a mix of PSP-approved land that allows for short-term delivery, and land in future PSPs that supports our long-term outlook. This combination gives us flexibility in timing and the ability to respond to market conditions across different horizons.’
“One key factor we avoid is land with significant planning uncertainty. If a parcel sits outside of a PSP, we typically avoid it. We prefer to work with land that has a clear, achievable development timeline,” he explains.
That forward-thinking approach was demonstrated in Beveridge North West, where Resimax Group acquired an adjoining parcel of land to its soon-to-be-developed Talisen project.
“It was a strategic move that aligned perfectly with our acquisition strategy. Over time, the scale of the site will give us the ability to create a fully integrated masterplanned community.”
For Gareth, acquisition decisions are about more than commercial viability. “Each site we acquire has to support long-term community outcomes,” he explains.
“We look for opportunities to deliver efficient infrastructure, better connectivity and cohesive planning outcomes that strengthen the liveability of the area. Every decision we make early on sets the foundation for the community that follows.”
Overseeing projects from acquisition to delivery, Gareth finds it rewarding to see how early decisions shape the way people live and connect.
“A project’s duration can span from a few years to a decade or more, so to be involved from acquisition to completion gives the work real meaning. You see how every decision made early on shapes the final outcome, and that connection makes the job incredibly satisfying”
“It’s also incredibly fulfilling to collaborate with a passionate team that shares the same vision for industry-leading communities,” he concludes.
Nathan Huynh, Head of Project Management
Throughout his seven years with the company, Head of Project Management Nathan Huynh has contributed to the successful delivery of over 2,500 lots across Resimax Group’s communities.
Working closely with the Development Managers, Nathan and his team of civil and construction engineering specialists play a crucial role in the efficient delivery of essential infrastructure and services required to enable land subdivision.
“Having an in-house project management team adds significant value to every project. Our team’s collective depth of knowledge and experience allows us to identify potential issues early, find solutions and prevent delays.”
“We share a deep understanding of the overall vision for each community with our in-house development team, which we then translate into practical, technical direction to ensure the best outcomes are achieved effectively to the highest standard,” he explains.
Guided by a long-term, holistic approach, Nathan ensures each community is built to meet today’s needs, while remaining sustainable and adaptable for future growth.
“We take a comprehensive approach to master planning, making sure essential infrastructure like roads, drainage, power and water systems are designed with scalability in mind,” he says.
“That way, each system can expand as the community grows without compromising functionality or liveability.”
A standout milestone for Nathan and the Project Management team this year has been the successful delivery of more than 500 lots across Eynesbury and Newbridge South. This represents the largest volume of lots completed by Resimax Group within a 12-month period and marks a personal career highlight for Nathan.
Nathan adds that collaboration with local councils and service authorities is a critical part of future-proofing each community.
“We work closely with stakeholders from the early design stages to anticipate how infrastructure will perform over time. That coordination ensures that when the community grows, the systems supporting it can evolve just as efficiently.”
“What I find most fulfilling about seeing residents move in is knowing that the team’s work has come together to make that moment possible. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the tangible results of all that detailed, technical and often unseen work.”
Dan Davis, Landscaping General Manager
As Landscaping General Manager, Dan Davis oversees the ongoing maintenance of Resimax Group’s communities, leading a team focused on safety, functionality and long-term quality.
“We’re the people always on hand, making sure everything is well kept and ready for residents to enjoy each day,” he says. “Safety is our number one priority.”
“Our rule is ‘see-it, fix-it,’” he says. “If something’s not right, be it a blocked sprinkler, a lifted paver, or a fallen branch, we act straight away. Keeping spaces safe and functional is the foundation of everything we do.”
“Landscape maintenance plays a much bigger role than people often realise,” he says. “It shapes how communities interact with their environment. By prioritising usability over appearance alone, we make open spaces more inclusive and encourage people to spend more time outdoors together.”
For Dan, proactive environmental management is key to sustaining quality of life within Resimax Group’s masterplanned communities. His team follows a seasonal plan that adapts maintenance activities throughout the year to keep every space functional, safe and welcoming.
“We take a right work, right season approach,” he explains. “That means planning renovation, pruning, planting and mulching when conditions deliver the best results. It’s about being responsive to the environment so that open spaces stay healthy, accessible and ready for residents to enjoy.”
Sustainability is also built into every part of the maintenance program. Dan’s team monitors irrigation to reduce water waste, recycles green waste, and reuses mulch where possible.
“Small changes, like watering at the right time of day or selecting hardy native species, make a big difference to long-term environmental outcomes,” he explains.
One example is the area beside Ms Peacock at Eynesbury, which was once an unused strip of sand between the restaurant and golf course. Dan’s team transformed it into a welcoming green with turf and picnic tables, now enjoyed daily by families and golfers alike.
“The most rewarding part is seeing residents make the most of the spaces we maintain, from neighbours chatting on a recently cleared path, to kids kicking a footy on the freshly cut grass, it makes it all worth it.”
