Eynesbury – coming together in 2019

I love helping bring amazing communities to life. It’s a great job. But there are certain projects that stand out.

Eynesbury is one of those.

Already a thriving community, Eynesbury is rich in Victorian history and spoilt with breathtaking natural beauty. Around 40 km from Melbourne’s CBD, this one-of-a-kind Australian suburb is about to enjoy a surge of investment­ and some much-deserved attention.

I’m delighted to be part of making that happen in my new role as Development Director of Eynesbury for joint stakeholders Resimax Group and Hyde Property Group, and I’m committed to creating something truly special.

A true one-of-a-kind community

I know the area well, having recent involvement in nearby large-scale projects (including Mt Atkinson and Grandview within the City of Melton, and The Grove in the City of Wyndham).

I think what makes the west so attractive is its affordability, despite being only 40kms from the CBD. Eynesbury is a uniquely green community, surrounded by hundreds of hectares of forest and grasslands. It’s easy to see why the locals love it.

There are a few high priorities on my to-do list include awarding a civil contract to start building nearly 260 residential lots which I’m confident will commence construction by the end of August this year. Other infrastructure that my team and I are currently planning for includes Greenhill and Mt Mary Roads, which will open up more connections for the region.

I’m also looking forward to breathing some life into Eynesbury with some investment in maintenance and planning of new amenities. We’re excited by the opportunity to work closely with residents to help Eynesbury come together; and will be reaching out soon with community news and engagement initiatives.

We’re seeing welcome action on the ground for new active open spaces, and the site for the new school is being transferred to the state government in the coming months, with works planned so the school can open its doors for Term 1, 2021.

Eynesbury has the potential to be one of the most exciting projects in Australia in terms of scale and end-use, and its distinctive character is unlike any other project in Melbourne.
